During my undergraduate and graduate program, I have volunteered and held leadership positions at a bunch of different organizations.
Communication Secretary - Bangladesh Students’ Organization at Auburn University
Sept '23 - Oct '24
Facilitated communication with 200 Bangladeshi students at Auburn through BSO. Organized and hosted several major cultural events with participation from a large number of international attendees.
Campus Sustainability Initiative, Jahangirnagar University
2022-2023
Collaborative research project between JU and the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand to promote sustainability by quantifying and finding mitigation strategies for energy demand-based CO2 emissions. Convener and Gold Award - The Duke of Edinburgh International Award Program
Dec 2021 – July 2023
Awarded the Gold Award for personal development and social welfare activities, including cycling, community teaching, and adventurous journeys. Served as a convener at Jahangirnagar University for the team of 14 awardees.
Vice President - Youthmappers at IRS, Jahangirnagar University Chapter
May 2021 – July 2022
Contributed to developing OpenStreetMap (OSM) by providing local data and building a volunteer team on campus. Collaborated with international OSM volunteers to organize training and webinars
Founding Joint Secretary (2019-20) and General Secretary (2020-21) - Jahangirnagar University Higher Study Club (JUHSC)
Established the club and ensured its sustainability in the second term. Managed 5-20 people, organized many seminars as convener, and connected alumni globally. Still serving as an alumni advisor, currently it's an organization of more than 200 members.
